It’s all well and good to share information about how to better your RP experiences in World of Warcraft. Of what use is that information if you never put any of it into action? While some of the best RP times I have in WoW happen on the fly, while my character is out walking and questing around Azeroth, they are by no means the only time they happen. Every once in awhile, it doesn’t hurt to actually plan an RP event, which could be anything from a small gathering of friends at a local Inn, to something as grand as a wedding.
An RP wedding is exactly what took place recently within the alea iacta est guild on the Earthen Ring server. But it wasn’t just a wedding, it was a full blown double wedding, complete with prior bachelor and bachelorette parties, and a following reception! Betrothed were Nobleadela (female BE Warlock) to Manthra (male BE Warlock), who are also co-hosts on the WoW Addons podcast. The other couple are two of the most famous members of the AIE guild, Ixxi (female BE Hunter) and Bloodyloc (male BE Warlock).
Now, throughout my many many years of RP’ing, I have never had a character be involved in a wedding, and it was a treat to watch and listen to all my guildmates go about the game preparing for the wedding and discuss what they were doing on the guild Ventrillo server. So, what I’m doing is inviting them all to come and post a Comment if they so please to tell a bit about what how they roleplayed their character before, during, and after the wedding. Also, if you have ever had a character RP in a wedding or something else as large an event, please share your story below!
Well, I tried to play the character in game as well as on vent. It was rather hard though because of the level of in-game messages that were being sent to me. But like I said, I role played the event on vent and it was a ton of fun, plus I had some people laughing hysterically! If you have never been on vent and listened to Ixxi then you have no idea how full of herself she really is. I really want to take this character a whole lot further, but this was one of the first times ever that I got to do it with a large group of people. Hope to have more experiences with all of you soon!!!
Hey all, I just wanted to say that what a BIG turnout this was and it just blew my mind away, over 100 people showed up….This was my first time roleplaying…. I never did this before, so when Ixxi was kidding about a wedding, i said way not ( me kidding around to him) I never thought it would go threw but we did…. we actually planned this out….. we both made blog pages for our charactors and than kept telling the Guild of what was going on…….They made worth wild………. We all had fun
